​Writing ~​We are continuing to practice the steps involved in writing an opinion piece. Students will use the text on John Chapman for their new writing assignment. Prompt: In your opinion, did John Chapman make the world a better place?

Literacy ~ Students are reading Johnny Appleseed, Biography. Our focus is comparing the information presented in this text to the information in our last text on John Chapman. How do the authors support their point of view using evidence.

Math ~ Students are beginning their unit on geometry. We will start with learning about shapes and their attributes. This will help us classify shapes.

Social Studies ~ We will begin our unit on reading maps in the upcoming week.

Science ~  We are creating hand made models of the earth. Students used clay and foam balls to construct their models.
